Recorded 2014-2015 at Astaroth, Kajutan & Dreamhill Studios. All drums by Jocke Wallgren. Viktor Sheffield vocals, Henrik Ryftenius bass & backing vocals, Jocke Lindström lead guitars, Anders Elfving rythm guitars.

Detonator had its first live performance in Stockholm in March 2014 and soon the recording of a new EP, titled The Burning Inferno, started. The new EP contains six tracks and is mixed by Torbjörn Endrell at Dreamhill studios in Stockholm and mastered at Cutting Room. This makes The Burning Inferno to a well-produced album and with he new band members the music will be much more innovative and dynamic. The EP is planned to be released (Record Union) in October 2015 and will be available world-wide.

The music
The musical platform has always primarily been based on thrash metal from the 80s and 90s, but with substantial influences from modern metal. It includes a variety of very fast riffs, heavier guitars and melodic compositions. Elaboration with different types of metal genres is something always considered when new material is created.

Detonator is a Swedish thrash metal band formed several years ago as a hobby project, originally with only two members, Anders Elfving & Viktor Sheffield. In the beginning of 2013, Jocke Lindström joined Detonator as lead guitarist. 2014 Henrik Ryftenius was recruited as basist/back vocalist and Jocke Wallgren (Valkyrja/Astrophobos/October Tide) joined as a session drummer. ... more
